Great place for a quick brunch. (+) pretty much a self service, you order from the cashier, get a number, find somewhere to get seated and they'll bring you over the food (+) the food was tasty and they had a variety of brunch items all in reasonable price (+) the latte was good, you can tell the beans they use were great quality

A bit pricey, but good food and a very nice ambiance! A group of us stayed at the Hyatt Regency hotel across the street and went to The Grove several times for brunch. We got a variety of different dishes, my two favorites being the French toast and the breakfast quiche. Unfortunately I didn't get photos of everything! When you enter, you get a menu and then you order and pay at the counter. You get a number card to bring to your table and your food will get brought to you. There's a water station to help yourself, next to a coffee bar. The French toast was sooo good, we ordered it multiple times! The bread was so soft and perfectly battered to sweetness. The strawberries were fresh and paired well. My personal favorite was the quiche, which came with a side of arugula salad and fresh berries. Overall, a fantastic brunch place!

What a quirky restaurant! Decorated with trees on the inside and christmas lights, I found myself kind of feeling like I was eating in a large tree house, especially since we sat on the 2nd floor. I thought it was pretty cool! This is one of those places where you order at the register and then they bring it to you which makes it feel like the process was much faster. The line seemed long but it went fast and there wasn't really a problem finding a seat for the three of us around 11 AM. I got the eggs benedict Dave's way and I loved it. I the hollandaise was perfect and I'm glad I chose the side salad because it offset the heaviness of the benedict.

A neat restaurant with excellent brunch options. I came here around 12:30pm on Sunday with three friends and there was no line at all. You order at the counter and then they bring your food to your table. I had eggs benedict (Dave's style) and an Arnold Palmer, and the food was top notch The eggs were gooey and the Hollandaise had a perfectly smooth texture. What I loved the most, however, was the Arnold Palmer that was made right in front of me with amazing gradient between the lemonade and the ice tea. The decor is really cool and leans heavily into wood paneling to capture the essence of a lodge in the woods. They have a variety of seating both indoor and outdoor, but some of the outdoor seating is inflexible. The service was wonderful with very friendly staff who worked efficiently and were helpful in explaining the menu. I'll definitely return for more next time I'm in SF.

Omg, they serve the most gorgeous, delicious Roast Chicken Apple Salad here! It comes with seasonal fruit for free also. Today, it was the best, freshest strawberries. Yum! This is my favorite sweet + savory salad in the city. (I've found the fruit at Sweetgreen and other salad shops to be often under-ripe and not as good as it could be.) Order at the counter and they'll bring the food out to your table. Casual dining, comfort food. Big place with lots of indoor dining, but I prefer the outside spots on a nice day. Friendly service.

This place is such a vibe - it's like eating in a giant, bohemian-chic treehouse!! It's local-family-owned - the food was fantastic, staff friendly and efficient, great location....it's very popular (no surprise there), gets super crowded, and prices are kinda high (expected in DTSF tho). Even still, I'd definitely come back again on my next visit. I came in hoping for a quick lunch during a break in a conference I was attending nearby - it was pretty packed and chaotic but somehow they got my food out quickly and I managed to get a table upstairs (which I highly recommend bc it really feels like a treehouse from up there especially lol). I ordered their Berkeley Bowl salad with grilled chicken and a cup of the Chicken Lime Tortilla soup. The soup was packed full of tender chicken, avocado, and flavor - delicious!! But the salad was the star of the show! It comes with all sorts of veggies, roasted beets, chickpeas, sunflower seeds, and topped with their green goddess dressing. I added on the chicken breast which they roast in-house and it was delectably tender and flavorful - a fantastic lunch! The interior is made to look like a forest grove and is such a fun spot to eat! It was chaotic and packed and the staff were running their butts off, but they were all smiles and so helpful - impressive service! They also have a lot of covered patio seating - but the inside has more character. They have quite a large menu - lots of variety of food and drinks. Prices are high for what it is but it's DTSF and the quality is there so it's to be expected. It's in an excellent location near the Moscone center and is very walkable. Parking would be a nightmare in this area so you're better off leaving the car. I had a great lunch and would definitely go out of my way to come back next time I'm in town!

I really enjoyed this restaurant for breakfast. I stopped by with my team after a recommendation from one of my coworkers. The style counter service, is you are looking for something quick and casual this is the spot for you! There is plenty of seating both inside and outside. I ordered the veggie quiche which I really enjoyed. The quiche comes with a fruit bowl and a side salad. I also ordered a slice of banana bread which contained walnuts which I loved! Many of my coworkers were able to try the banana bread and really liked it! Finally, I ordered the latter with almond milk and the latte art was a nice surprise! The staff is very friendly and helpful. They made sure we had everything and were very attentive! Highly recommend!

Not a bad option if you're staying in the area! We walked here from our hotel. When we walked in, there was a worker who greeted and gave us menus. You go up to the counter to order, they give you a number, then you sit down at a table. I ordered black coffee with the breakfast special: the usual scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, and hash browns. My sister tried their cardamom latte, and eggs Benedict with ham. The portions were kinda large! I was pretty full and couldn't eat the bread. The coffee was decent. Not the best but I wanted something to help adjust with the jet lag. My sister liked the cardamom latte but she said her ham was bland. Like I said, not a bad option around here. Food came out fast and it seemed like a lot of tourists come here as well. It's got a cabin vibe so it was nice to sit there a while.

The restaurant had a to-go side as well as a dining side so make sure you walk into the right door. When you walk in, they'll give you a menu and you'll go to the counter to order. It might be a good idea to decide what you want before heading to the restaurant so you don't hold up the line. Thankfully there wasn't anyone behind us in line. The restaurant was busy but there were plenty of tables available. For my entree I got the breakfast burrito with bacon. Every bite was absolutely delicious and the burrito was wrapped well. The bacon was also evenly distributed throughout the burrito so I didn't feel as if all the meat sat in one spot.
